Dear Ms. Wells,

It was my pleasure to meet you as well.  I would be more than happy to stop by your home and let your son meet police horse LEO.  We are having to move LEO farther up the Keys making it kind of difficult to get him into town now, but I promise you that the next time I can get him into town I will call you and we will make this happen.  Give my best regards to Shane.  Thanks for the picture as well.

Best regards,

Lt. Alan Newby, Commander
Administration Division

Hello Lt. Newby,

It was my pleasure meeting you and Leo while out patroling our beautiful Samthers Beach during Spring Break.

After I spoke to you about my child Shane Wells and the possibility of him getting up close and personal with Leo, i was so excited to hear that it may be a possibility.  Shane is 16 yrs. old and was diagnosed in December of 1998 with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  He is one of Jerry Lewis's kids.

So on that note, I would love to make special arrangements with you to have Leo come out and visit my neighborhood.  We live at 3075 Flagler Ave. #7, Key West, Fl.  33040 and my number is 293-0401.

There are also approximately 6 - 7 kids in the complex ranging in age from 1 - 7.  If appropriate, I'm sure they would get a big kick out of meeting Leo too?

I don't know what your schedule is like, but fyi, Shane does go to school weekdays and is available in the afternoon or early evenings or the weekends.

I would like to take some pics and maybe even take one to the citizen to put in the paper or something.

Again, it was nice to meet you and I hope that we can work something out.
