We Need Your Help
The Key West Police Mounted Patrol is supported primarily through tax-deductible contributions from individuals, businesses and organizations. All horses in the Unit are privately owned and made available to the Key West Police Department at no cost to the City or taxpayers.
The normal day to day costs of owning a horse, such as feed, boarding, shoeing and veterinary services are the responsibility of their individual owners. Equipment that is needed specifically for police duty is purchased with the donated funds.
